17th Feb.
The Oropendulas started building their nests again on the 3rd February. This time they chose the Jobo tree adjacent to their usual nesting tree and the nests are about 25′ lower than before. It appears that the nesting birds are all young and that an older bird is monitoring their nest building ability. He comes to the branches, hops around and inspects each nest individually.

28th Dec., 2009. A new kingfisher came to the fishponds. Luckily all the visitors saw it and took some photos. It was a very small bird, quite similar to the Green-and-rufous Kingfisher but it appeared to have a darker head. It did not bob it’s head when it called, as the Green-and-rufous Kingfisher does. Interestingly, it had a white tag on it’s left leg.

Dear Lin and David,
Thank you again and again for the wonderful afternoon we had at your amazing garden! This visit was defintively one of the best and impressive memories be brought from Panama back home to Munich. Also we totally forgot to thank you for the best culinary hint of Bocas! Without your convincing suasion we would never had such a good dinner and joyful entertaining evening in Colón!
We send you this picture from us so that you won’t forget how we look like! Furthermore, we only want to make sure that you will recognise us when we come and visit you in a couple of years!
We wish you all the best and hope to see you one day again.
